RunDollar

Free goals are easy to ignore. You've proven that.

Put your money
where your
mouth is.

Set a running distance goal on Strava. Put $20 to $500 of your own money behind it. Hit the goal — your stake is never touched. Miss it — every dollar goes to charity.

A flat $10 fee at sign-up is all RunDollar ever makes. Your stake is saved, not charged — unless you miss the deadline. Then 100% of it is donated. None of it comes to us.

DEADLINE

Deadline

This is where your commitment is tested. The clock stops here.

Goal reached

You hit your distance target before the deadline. Your stake is never charged.

$0

Your stake never leaves your card. Not a cent.

Deadline passed

The deadline passed and your distance goal was not reached. Your stake is charged — the number you chose.

Every dollar donated. RunDollar keeps none of it.

The system is watching

Strava sees every run.
So do we.

Every GPS-tracked activity syncs automatically. No manual logging, no honor system, no appeal. One extension is all the slack you get.

  • The deadline moves once. At most.

One extension per contract — 1 to 14 days, no questions asked. Injury, illness, life. After that, the line is final.

  • Cancel before the start. Not after.

Back out before your contract starts and the $10 fee is refunded in full. Once it starts, you are committed. That is the point.

  • Close does not count.

Miss the goal by one kilometre or one hundred — your full stake is charged, and every dollar of it is donated.

If that feels harsh — good. That is what makes it work.

You are 3× more likely to succeed

with a commitment contract.

Handled with care

Your card is secured by Stripe.

Card details are collected and stored by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment provider. RunDollar never sees or stores your full card number — we only hold a token used to charge your stake if you fall short.

We only read your run distance.

With your Strava permission we read the distance of your GPS-tracked runs — nothing more. We never sell, share, or resell your Strava data to anyone. It is used solely to verify your own goal.

How we make money

We earn the same $10 either way.

  • The $10 contract fee is the whole business. You pay it when you start — and that is every dollar we ever make on your contract.
  • Your stake is never ours. Miss your goal and 100% of it goes to charity.
  • Don’t take our word for it — every donation is on the public record.
